Searching from the context menu

The following settings are available for searching from the context menu:

  • Allow searching on non-indexed personnel fields: this setting enables you to search for non-indexed fields from the TOPdesk card context menu. However, searches can take a lot longer as a result. This is why we recommend you do not use this option if your organization has a large number of callers.

  • Maximum number of results for search text contains’: this setting defines the maximum number of records in TOPdesk for which searching via 'text contains' still works. When the number of records exceeds the number you have filled in, the 'text contains' option can no longer be used. We advise you to set this number to a maximum of 5000. Otherwise, searching can take a long time.
