Managing valuables with Configuration Management
A complete and up-to-date configuration database (CMDB) is an important source of supporting processes within your organization. In Configuration Management, you set up a similar database by registering all the important objects within your organization.
All processes in TOPdesk that use information about company objects are linked to Configuration Management. You can always retrieve the necessary information. If a service desk employee receives a call about a company asset, a printer or coffee machine for example, from Call Management he can link this to the corresponding Object Card in Configuration Management.
In Configuration Management you can register all your Configuration Items (CIs), from hardware and software (licences) to inventory and telephone systems.
