Categorizations

In TOPdesk, you can use categorizations to classify data. These categorizations comprise a category and a subcategory. This categorization can be used to automatically assign a call to a specific operator, display a standard solution or construct reports.

Categorizations can be used in the following modules and cards:

  • Call Management: call, standard solution

  • Problem Management: problem, known error

  • Change Management: preliminary request for change, request for change, template, activity template

  • Project Management: project, phase, activity

  • Operations Management: operational activity

  • Contract Management and SLM: SLA-contract, supplier contract.

Filter based on categorization

You can also use categorizations to determine which cards users can see. You can set this up further with category filters.
